The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted patent number 8,897,737 to Megaphone for its enhanced interactive TV technologies.
Entitled “System and method for managing interaction between a user and an interactive system,” the 24-page patent diagrams Megaphone's unique system for managing and processing many thousands of simultaneous user interactions, as used in live and pre-recorded executions today throughout the world during broadcast and online programs, entertainment shows and special events.
Users engage with the system through a cellular telephone call, SMS message, or internet communication protocols and receive instant feedback after an interaction with the system is made. Dynamic results of an interaction are displayed instantly on any mobile or display device, seen in broadcast television graphics, showcased on jumbo stadium screens, or projected on stage in live experiences.
“We’re extremely proud of our cutting edge technologies,” said Dan Albritton, Co-Founder and CEO of Megaphone TV. “We’ve only scratched the surface of what our technology can do as we continue to execute on our vision of creating the next generation of participatory TV - on air, online, and in OTT applications."
